the treasure of borneo

hey, guys...for my 1st entry here, i would like to share with you some of the nature treasures which makes borneo 1 of the most top tourists site for their holiday vacations...who knows, maybe after reading this article and looking at the photos which i will insert below, you will be interested in making borneo as ur next holiday destination!

Sipadan, a so-called oceanic island of Malaysia is among of the islands in Borneo that has a facinating blue sea water...it is so clear until you will feel amazed when seeing the coral reefs and other aquatic lives from the water surface. This island was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop. Sipadan is located at the centre of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species can be found here.

Borneo is not only enchanting at its sea side, it is also has a heart-taking view up from its high lands. Mount Kinabalu was found to be the highest mountain in Southeast Asia that is located in Kinabalu National Park in the east Malaysia, the state of Sabah where it is also called as a World's Heritage Site. This mountain is believed to be sacred to the locals. They believe that the spirits of their ancesors inhabit the mountain top. During the olden days, a chicken will be sacrificed at the peak after a climb was made but today, this ceremony only happens once a year when seven chickens were sacrificed to please the spirits.

Significantly, Mount Kinabalu is also well-known worldwide for its tremendous largest flower in the world, Rafflesia which only can be found in the rainforest of Southeast Asia. Below are the photos of Rafflesia that i want to share with you...

the 'tajung simpang mengayau' which means the Nothernmost tip of Borneo is also 1 of the tourism site in Sabah. It is the tip point where Sulu and South China Sea mets. The picture below shows the meeting point.

Being in Danum Valley, also known as the Borneo Rainforest Lodge you will feel free and far away from the pollution and human habitations. It is an eco-resort rainforest jungle enriched with varieties of rare and endangered plants and wildlife species. You will certainly enjoy breath-taking view of its nature.

i guess thats all for now...next time, i will post you another cool article, okay!stay tune, guys...!
